Checkout API is aimed to reduce integration efforts and increase conversion rate by improving end user experience.

Legacy customer flow

When a card holder or consumer intends to purchase goods online, they are required to manually provide various type of information for the order to be processed and completed:

  • Select Payment Method
  • Define Billing Information
  • Define Shipping Information
  • Select Shipping Method
  • Accept Terms
  • Go to Payment Form

Modern browsers normally try to remember and inject the information for you, but this is not always guaranteed to work as intended.

On the other hand, Payment Wallet solutions (Apple Pay, Google Pay) already have all this information about do, which they gather either during sign up, or during the next payment event. However, each of these solutions require separate integration.
