Payconiq is a Belgian e-wallet accepted in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Consumers benefit from quick and easy payments through their smartphones while its 70,000 merchants can improve conversion rates by reducing friction for consumers.

Due to its lucrative loyalty scheme, Payconiq maintains a healthy, repeat consumer base.

Payconiq is supported by 20 banks: 95% of whose customers can use the payment method.

It allows merchants to accept payments in-store or online (mobile and desktop) without the consumer leaving the payment page.

How it works

The processing of payments for goods using Payconiq Payments consists of one step, during which the capture of the payment takes place.

Capturing a Payment

The following diagram illustrates the steps involved in capture payment that are relevant to you as a merchant.



  1. The consumer selects Payconiq as their preferred payment method.
  2. The consumer is redirected to a payment page where they are presented with an option to scan a QR code.
  3. The consumer scans their QR code and confirms the payment in the Payconiq app.
  4. The merchant receives the payment confirmation of the payment.
  5. The merchant can ship the order/deliver the goods to the consumer.

Processing a Refund

Refunds take place after the capture of funds. There are several refund scenarios.

  • Full refund, which returns the funds for the entire transaction
  • Partial refund, which returns the funds for some of the order lines
